Genetic Testing & Clinical Trials

In partnership with the Foundation Fighting Blindness we are providing a live webinar spotlighting the current research being done in the area of retinal degenerative diseases like retinitis pigmentosa, Stargardts disease, Usher syndrome, and some forms of macular degeneration.

Ben Shaberman, the Foundation’s Vice President of Science Communications will discuss some of the research currently being funded and some ongoing clinical trials.

Information will also be provided on the My Retina Tracker program which provides free genetic testing. A genetic diagnosis provides many benefits including: clarification of a clinical diagnosis, determination of the disease inheritance pattern in a family, and identification of clinical trials and therapies that may be appropriate for you.
