About Us

Founded in 1925 as the Rhode Island Association for the Blind, our mission is to inspire confidence and build skills that help people who are visually impaired and blind to thrive and succeed.

Our organization has sixteen Board members including people living with vision loss as well as professional and corporate leaders. The Board oversees and Executive Director who is responsible for the day to day management of the agency. The IN-SIGHT staff currently consists of seven full time employees, eight part time employees, and thirty volunteers.

IN-SIGHT currently serves more than 1,000 Rhode Islanders from toddlers to elderly adults who live with limited to no vision.
