IN-SIGHT hosts a wide variety of regular small group programs that bring together people who are living with vision loss to create opportunities for learning as well as the formation of lasting friendships.
A unique monthly group for people living with vision loss. You will find this to be the perfect group experience if you are seeking peer support, answers to your questions, and just feel like you are not the only one facing the challenges that sometimes come with reduced vision. This group meets once per month at IN-SIGHT. For more information, contact Doreen Holmes at email@example.com.
These free one-hour workshops are held at IN-SIGHT. Everyone follows along at their own pace and comfort. This group is perfect for beginners as well as folks who have some Yoga experience. A Yoga mat is provided to each participant at no charge thanks to grants from the New England Patriots Charitable Foundation and BankNewport. For more information, contact Doreen Holmes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Diabetes Education Group
This monthly group is designed for people who are living with both diabetes and a visual impairment. This is a informational, supportive, and positive group designed to help people learn how to take better control of their health. For more information, contact John Pimentel at email@example.com.
Our lively monthly book discussion group meets at IN-SIGHT on the third Friday of every month from 10 AM – 12 PM. The book to be discussed each month is chosen in advance by the members of the group and all of the chosen titles are available for free through the NLS Talking Books program. For more information, contact Carla Ferreira at firstname.lastname@example.org.
IN-SIGHT staff facilitates several local monthly support groups that often feature presentations from staff members and guest speakers. The groups also provide people in the same geographic area with the opportunity to come together and offer peer support to each other. A current list of active community support groups is listed below. Please note that the community support groups do not meet in July and August.
