Meeting and getting to know others with a visual impairment is one of the most important and helpful things you can do. If you are new to living with a loss of vision, learning that you are not alone and that others have overcome your challenges is incredibly empowering. For those who have been living with a visual impairment for a while, sharing your knowledge and experiences is a great help to others and will help motivate them to continue on their journey.
VISION Groups
VISION (Visual Impairment Support, Information, Opportunities, and News) is an open small group meeting for anyone with a visual impairment and family members, caregivers, and friends. The groups meet in several locations throughout the state each month and are ideal for people new to living with a visual impairment.
The meetings are facilitated by IN-SIGHT staff members who encourage the participants to share their stories, ask questions, provide support, and learn from each other. Click here for our calendar of events, which includes a listing of upcoming VISION Groups.
