Accessing Our Services

Our programs and services are open to anyone who is blind or visually impaired, and in many cases friends and family members as well.

It is helpful for us to receive an eye report from your eye care professional. Your eye report helps us to determine the extent of your vision loss and what programs and services might be the most beneficial. Download our referral form here.

Once we receive your eye report from your eye doctor we will call you to find out more about your situation and goals and at that time also provide you with an overview of our services and register you for those that you are interested in.

We also welcome you to call us anytime at (401) 941-3322 to learn more about our services and arrange a time when you can tour our facility and meet our staff.

Costs of Service

Most of our services are free or covered by health insurance.

Our low vision services are covered by most major health insurance companies including Medicare, Medicaid, Neighborhood Health Plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. Patients are responsible for any co-payments associated with their plan.

Our independent living workshops, individual training, INSIGHT Radio, support groups, and diabetes counseling are all provided at no cost.

INSIGHT also offers two to three recreational outings per year, which generally have a minimal fee for INSIGHT clients and a reduced fee for sighted guides.
