Winter Book Discussion Group

February 4, 2025 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

On September 11, 2001, Michael Hingson and his guide dog, Roselle, were on the 78th floor of the World Trade Center when a plane hit the upper floors of the building.

Thunder Dog tells the story of that day and how the people and experiences Michael encountered throughout his life helped prepare him for the challenges he faced.

During the three sessions of this discussion group, we will reflect on Michael’s story, how it relates to our own experiences and the lessons we can learn about living an independent and successful life with a visual impairment.

This group is separate from IN-SIGHT’s monthly Book Club. The book is available via Talking Books and BARD, and IN-SIGHT can supply printed copies to participants.

Participants are asked to attend all three sessions.
