Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist
The Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS) provides individual and small group instruction that helps people who are visually impaired and blind to safely, confidently, and independently access their homes, workplaces, schools, and communities.
The COMS will work primarily with senior adults who have developed a vision impairment later in life. However, they may also work with a limited number of students through contracts with local school systems.
