Tuesday, July 10: Riding the Rails

Our second day of camp took us to Rail Explorers where our campers had the chance to pedal cars down six miles of railroad tracks past breathtaking views that were filled with the sounds of nature. For the campers, most of whom have never been on a bicycle, it provided the opportunity to pedal and explore in a safe a fun way.

After our journey we headed to 99 Restaurant, where the campers were glad to find that Braille menus were available.

In the afternoon we explored downtown Newport, which has great accessibility at their crosswalks including beeping walk signals!
