Despite some morning rain, three dozen IN-SIGHT clients and friends still enjoyed a fun day on Block Island this August.
The group departed from Pt. Judith on the Block Island ferry just as raindrops spread throughout the area. Upon disembarking they made a quick dash to the National Hotel where everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch on the covered porch.
After lunch it was off on a colorful and entertaining tour of the island via bus led by a guide who has lived on the island for decades. The narration was full of interesting stories, unique facts, and lots of laughs.
Luckily by the end of the tour the rain had stopped and with the clouds beginning to break the group was able to enjoy some shopping and ice cream along the island’s busy main thoroughfare.
While the weather was not what they hoped, many remarked that the cloudy skies actually were a benefit as it reduced sun glare and the rain also cut down on the number of people riding the ferry that day, making the ride to and from the island much less crowded than it normally would be.
