Tenants are being sought for the newest houses in Rhode Island. These small garden fairy houses are more appropriate for grasshoppers, frogs, and other small critters than humans though.
The houses were hand-built by adults who are blind and visually impaired as part of a three-week workshop series at Mudstone Studios in Warren, RI. The participants started with flat slabs of clay, which they then molded into a tree-like base, added a unique nature-inspired roof, and then embellished their tiny homes with doors, windows, steps, mushrooms, and little creatures.
IN-SIGHT partners with Mudstone Studios to offer these free workshops several times per year. For more information, contact Lucille Gaboriault at IN-SIGHT.
