RIde Program Overview

October 12 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

The RIde Program is a transportation service for people whose disability prevents them from using a fixed-route bus. RIPTA offers paratransit service through the RIde Program, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act.  ADA Paratransit provides door to door service but requires reservations and does have a small fee.

During this workshop representatives from RIPTA will provide an overview of the program, discuss how it works, and help you determine if you may qualify for the program. We also hope to have a RIde bus available at the workshop so that you can climb aboard and tour the vehicle.

As part of the workshop there will also be a panel of current RIde users who will discuss their experiences with the service and they will also offer tips for making your trips hassle free. There will also be time at the end for questions and answers.

This is a great workshop for people who are not familiar with the RIde program and people who have registered for the program but have not used it. This workshop is also open to family members and friends of INSIGHT clients. A complimentary light lunch will be provided at the end of the workshop.
