Accessible Smartphone Camera Basics
January 19 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
Many people who are blind or visually impaired think that smartphone cameras are useless to them–how can they accurately aim and shoot photos, and what can it be used for? That may have been the case a few years ago. Voiceover is now integrated with the iPhone cameras, giving the user valuable information that can be used to take photos. Join us to learn how the camera can be used as a powerful tool for independence; learn to take photos of products for identification, capture text to read print documents, and aim the camera using Voiceover’s guidance.
Suggested Prerequisites: The ability to independently navigate through the iPhone or iPad and its apps using the voiceover feature.
